Moreover, the majority of the time, I’ll be spearheading your move, which means I will actually be in the truck, actually moving your furniture. Local and Intrastate Relocations
Handsome Dolly provides guaranteed, flat-rate pricing for all relocations, which is based on the exact amount of inventory you need moved and the locations to and from which you’re moving. Other factors at both your pick-up and delivery locations that affect your binding rate include: long dolly and carry distances; elevator use; number of flights of stairs; parking availability and street width (can we double park?); speciality items like upright pianos and pool tables.
Your flat-rate includes: a team of professional movers; all truck and travel time; blankets and plastic wrap for protecting furniture; commercial bin for framed art; disassembly / reassembly of any furniture (if necessary); Certificate(s) of Insurance (if required); any parking meters, tickets or tolls incurred during the course of the move; and, finally, packing and unpacking services (if requested).
We have no hidden fees or charges associated with the move. The price we quote you prior to your move is the price you pay the day of your move, because our estimate is binding. And, unlike a lot of other moving companies, our foremen aren’t incentivized to up-sell you on services that you didn’t request the day of your move.
However, if you do unexpectedly need to add additional inventory to your shipment or request additional services the day of your move, we will gladly negotiate a new binding flat rate.
Long-Distance and Interstate Relocations
In addition to servicing the TriState area, we go as far North as Vermont, down South to Florida, and across to Texas and California depending on our availability. We don’t work with Van Lines for cross-country moves, so, if you hire us, know that we’re gonna be the ones to load your belongings onto the truck locally and also unload them when we get to your new home fifteen hundred miles away. This makes us a little more expensive than our competition, but some people prefer the piece of mind that this exclusivity of service provides.
